“Innovations for science: fundraising, academic expertise and scientometrics”

12-14 December 2016, Cracow

We are pleased to invite international participants to take part in our new retraining program “Innovations for science: fundraising, academic expertise and scientometrics” to visit the most active European centers of fundraising support, technologic parks, and the universities which are advanced both in academic expertise and taking high positions according scientometrics indexes, on December 12-14, 2016 in Krakow.

You will also have the unique opportunity of meeting outstanding specialists and renowned intellectuals in your chosen field. Pursuing your studies in Poland, a country of great historical significance and continued aspiration, will undoubtedly be a fascinating, even life-changing, adventure. The reform of science and the higher education sector launched in the years 2010-2011 introduces a new model of financing, based on the principles of competitiveness, quality and transparency of procedures. The reform is followed by increased spending which will allow the best among Polish academic institutions to compete with the world’s recognized educational centers. I firmly believe that Polish colleges will soon be ranked among the most desirable places for carrying out study abroad programs.

Krakow – the second largest city of Poland and the country’s ancient capital is sometimes spelled as Cracow in English although its correct English name is Krakow nowadays.  Krakow is the top tourist destination of Poland. The city basks in glory of its long history and it greatly treasures its reputation of the culture capital of Poland. Cracow’s seven universities plus almost twenty other institutions of higher education make it the country’s leading center of science and education. The city expanding service sector is the lifeblood of local economy but varied industry and production still provide substantial proportions of jobs and wealth.  Cracow is the metropolis of southern Poland and the capital city of the Malopolska Province.
